Tour Itinerary:
Arrival at Yangon
Arrive at Yangon Airport and transfer to your hotel. After lunch at a local restaurant, set out on a guided tour to explore the highlights of Yangon, including its colonial architecture and sacred landmarks. Enjoy dinner at another local venue and soak in the city’s vibrant atmosphere. Overnight at the Rose Garden Hotel (Superior), a comfortable and well located base for your stay in Yangon.
Yangon – Kyaikthale
After breakfast, take the 1½-hour drive to Kyaikthale and check into the welcoming Bio Garden Community Lodge. Spend the day exploring the local village and surrounding countryside, gaining insight into rural life and sustainable practices. Enjoy a freshly prepared lunch and dinner at the lodge, featuring seasonal ingredients and local flavors. Overnight at the lodge in peaceful, natural surroundings
Yangon-Bagan
After breakfast, transfer back to Yangon Airport for your morning flight to Bagan. Upon arrival, transfer to the Thazin Garden Hotel and check in, subject to early availability. Begin your exploration with visits to iconic temples such as Shwezigon Pagoda and Wetkyiin Gubyaukkyi. In the afternoon, continue to the majestic Ananda Temple and nearby Ananda Okkyaung, followed by a stroll through the vibrant Nyaung Oo Market. Later, enjoy a horse cart ride through Bagan’s temple plains before ending the day with a sunset boat cruise on the legendary Ayeyarwaddy River. Lunch and dinner at local restaurants. Overnight at Thazin Garden Hotel (Deluxe) in Bagan.
Bagan Villages
After breakfast, return to the river and take a half-hour boat ride across to the opposite bank to visit several local communities, including Thezin village, known for its cane weaving of household items, and Ey Shey village, home to traditional cotton weaving workshops. After exploring the rural side of Bagan, drive up to the magnificent Taunt Kyi Taung Pagoda, perched high in the hills with panoramic views of the Irrawaddy River and Bagan’s temple-studded plains. Return by boat and arrive back at your hotel in the late afternoon. Lunch and dinner at local restaurants. Overnight at Thazin Garden Hotel (Deluxe) in Bagan.
Bagan - Tamarind Lake CBT village
After breakfast, check out of your hotel and depart Bagan, heading toward the small town of Salay. After a scenic 1½-hour drive, arrive at Tamarind Lake Village and check into the welcoming community lodge, where you’ll meet your host family. Enjoy a freshly prepared local lunch, then set off on a traditional ox-cart ride to explore the village and learn about the daily life and customs of the local community. In the evening, share a home-cooked dinner and overnight at your CBT homestay, surrounded by peaceful countryside and warm hospitality.
Tamarind Lake – Salay
After breakfast, set off on a bicycle tour to explore nearby sights, including Bagan-era pagodas and the magnificent timber-built Yoke Sone Kyuang Monastery, a masterpiece of traditional Burmese architecture. Return to the community lodge for a final lunch and bid farewell to your host family. Continue by road to Salay town and check into Salay House, acharming riverside guesthouse on the banks of the Ayeyarwaddy River. Later, enjoy a walking tour through the town’s quiet streets, passing colonial-era houses, local shops, and the bustling market. Dinner and overnight at Salay House.
Salay – Bagan
After breakfast, check out and drive to visit a 12th-century temple, still in daily use and admired for its stunning architectural features. Afterwards, return to Bagan, stopping for lunch at a local restaurant en route. Upon arrival, check in at the Thazin Garden Resort, a peaceful retreat surrounded by lush gardens. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner at the charming Secret Home Restaurant, reflecting on your journey through Myanmar’s
cultural heartland.
Bagan - Yangon
Transfer to the airport for your morning flight back to Yangon. Upon arrival at Yangon Airport, your tour services conclude. Onward travel and accommodation arrangements can be organized upon request to suit your next destination or extended stay.
