Depart from your Ho Chi Minh City hotel at approximately 08:30 and drive for about 1½ hours to My Tho, gateway to the Mekong Delta. Begin a two-hour bicycle ride along quiet country roads shaded by tall coconut palms, arriving in the small town of Ben Tre. Board a local boat and cruise a busy Mekong branch before turning into a peaceful canal leading to a small island orchard for a traditional Vietnamese lunch. Observe how local farmers cultivate exotic fruits by season. After a short hammock siesta, cycle another 2½ hours through this idyllic backwater. Visit a coconut candy workshop and explore local handicrafts. Enjoy dinner and overnight with your homestay host family, gaining insight into the local way of life. Total cycling distance: approximately 35 km.
Cycling Trip to Can Tho
After breakfast, say goodbye to your host family and begin cycling along a quiet riverside trail, offering deeper insight into the daily life of local farming and fishing communities. Ride through Cho Lach and Cai Mon, stopping for lunch en route before reaching Vinh Long. From here, continue by road to Can Tho, arriving mid-afternoon to check in at your homestay. Today’s cycling distance totals approximately 40 kilometers. In the evening,

Floating Market of Cai Rang and Return to From Ho Chi Minh City

Depart from your Hanoi hotel at around 07:30 for a scenic 3½-hour drive to Lac Son District in Hoa Binh Province. Late morning, begin an easy two-hour trek to Mu Waterfall, where you’ll enjoy a refreshing picnic lunch beside the cascading waters. After lunch, continue trekking through lush landscapes for 2–3 hours to reach the Muong village of Ngoc Son Ngo Luong. The Muong, Vietnam’s third-largest ethnic minority, primarily reside in this region. Upon arrival, meet your homestay host family, explore the village, and learn about their traditions. Enjoy a Muong-style dinner with your hosts and community members. Overnight in the family home.
Pu Luong Nature Reserve - Hieu Village
After an early breakfast, bid farewell to your host family and begin a 5–6 hour trek through Pu Luong Nature Reserve, following scenic country tracks and forested paths. Pause midday for a picnic lunch surrounded by lush landscapes. By mid-afternoon, arrive at Hieu village, home to the ethnic Tai people, who share cultural and social ties with the Muong, though are ethnically closer to the Vietnamese. After meeting your new hosts, take

Hieu Village - Pho Doan - Hanoi
After breakfast, bid farewell to your host family and begin a gentle two-hour trek down from the hills along quiet country roads to Pho Doan. From there, continue by road back to Hanoi, with a stop for lunch en route. Arrive at your hotel around 16:00 and check in, bringing your journey through Pu Luong Nature Reserve to a close.
